On The Sixth Weigh of Christmas

Well, today is the day! Six weeks from today is Christmas, who can believe THAT?! It's made a bit more difficult by the fact that it's in the mid 60s-low 70s here in the Atlanta area these days. :)

So how did you do last week? Thursday is Thanksgiving. Do you have a strategy? I myself will be in Russia, so I'll miss out on the green beans, stuffing, mashers, cheese tray (!!!) and of course my beloved cranberry salad. I'm not sure what we'll be eating, but I'm relatively confident it will contain both mayonnaise (blech) and cabbage (yum). Obviously I won't be able to weigh in next week, so ElleBee will take care of that and the recap for me while I'm gone.

Let us know what your Thanksgiving plan is, as well as how you did! Remember, to calculate your percentage to your goal, you'll divide the number of pounds you've lost to date in the challenge bythe number of pounds you set as your goal.

Mine will look like this:
This week: lost 1
To date: lost 1
Percent to goal: 5%

That will make it easy for ElleBee to make the leader board! Happy Thanksgiving, and I can't wait to see how you did when I get back Dec 2!!

Starting weight: 198.4

Pounds lost: 2.0 out of 18.4 (goal)
Percent to goal: 11%

I actually lost almost 4 pounds this week, but since I gained almost 2 last week, it evens out to just a loss of 2 pounds. I made much better food choices this week, which really helped.

As for Thanksgiving, my plan is to eat healthy and exercise every other day that week, then just enjoy my Thursday. I'm also going to try hard to take small portions of everything so that I don't overeat.

Honestly, if I break even next Friday and don't gain, I'll consider it a success.

So.....I actually lost 2.2 lbs this week, which puts me at 11% of my goal.

Starting: 166
Current: 163.8
Lost: 2.2
Goal: 20
Percent: 11%

Biggest help was bringing tons of apples and carrots with me wherever I went so that I had something to munch on - also pecans and almonds (yum!). I also added a new group fitness class to my gym schedule this week.

Thanksgiving....I'm with Beth, small portions and exercise on the other days.

Oh yeah, I have one more goal I was thinking about setting for myself that I just thought I'd put out there for accountability purposes. I care more about how my clothes fit and how I feel in them than the actual number on the scale... so the number I am more concerned with are the body measurements I take.

I really want to lose 4 inches overall off my body in these 8 weeks. I've seen in the past that sometimes my weight will stay the same on the scale, but I will lose inches (due to losing fat and gaining muscle). So losing inches is way more important to me than losing pounds. :)

I am pretty happy with this. Considering I gained last week, I lost almost 2 lbs. I guess working out every day this month except for 2 days is finally paying off. I paid more attention to my diet this week but still ate pizza and peanut butter pie. :0

As for Thanksgiving, I plan on eating what I want. I don't eat big portions to begin with so I should do ok. Just gotta watch the desserts. I already know there will be cheesecake. Ahh, my favorite. As for working out...P90x. Everyday.

Well, I lost 1 lb this week which puts me at 25% to my goal. Sunday and Monday were rough....I had pizza for 3 meals and found my way into the halloween candy. Yikes! I pulled myself together Tuesday and worked out 3 days in a row! Yay! I'm so nervous about Thursday. My bday is this week and I'll be eating out for that, AND my hubbies home most of the week!!!!!!!! I hope to keep track of calories and ww points and be disciplined in working out! We'll see!

I still have yet to lose any, but did get in 4 workouts during the week. It's kind of a hormonal time as well, so I'm relaxing until the weekend, will enjoy the holiday, and then get to work on making getting healthier/losing weight a priority.

Seriously? Are we really being spammed in the Biggest Loser Blog? That's wild. Escorts, huh? Craziness.
